Bio

Dr. Esam Abdel-Raheem is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Windsor. Dr. Abdel-Raheem obtained his MSc from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, and received his PhD from the University of Victoria, British Columbia, both in the area of electrical and computer engineering.

Since 2021, Dr. Abdel-Raheem has been the Steering Committee Chair for the International Symposium on Signal Processing and Information Technology (ISSPIT). 

Dr. Abdel-Raheem's research interests vary widely, but include biomedical signal processing, video coding, pattern recognition, image processing, telecommunication networks, and digital signal processing.
