The purpose of this study is to understand the impacts that relative social isolation, in the sense that very young children (from neonates to 24 months old) have been exposed to during the COVID pandemic of the past 1.5 years, can have on all the different aspects of early development, including social development, language development, motor development, and cognitive development.

What Does The Study Involve?

If you volunteer to participate in this study, you will be asked to complete a total of three online questionnaires asking about your child's developmental milestones at 18 months, 24 months, and 30 months, in the fields of language, motor, cognitive, and social development. Each survey should take less than 10 minutes.

You will also be asked to provide your name and the name of your child, which will enable us to access your child's medical record from their paediatrician and review it in order to provide context for the study results, as well as gain similar information about their development during the months prior to your participation in the study (specifically when your child was 6, 9, and 12 months old). Please note that, as part of the first survey, you will also be asked to provide an email address where the consequent two surveys can be sent to.

Your participation, along with the names and the email address you provide, would be completely voluntary and confidential.
