The purpose of this study is to gather feedback on a proposed online intervention that we hope to eventually launch for individuals who are experiencing mental health challenges. This online intervention is based on a therapy called dialectical behavior therapy and is intended to be launched as an e-learning course on Teachable.
This intervention will include text materials, short videos, and exercises teaching concepts and skills. In this study, we are simply seeking feedback and opinions on the proposed intervention to incorporate ideas from people with lived experience of participating in psychotherapy or online psychotherapy tools/programs. Note that this study does not does not involve partaking in an actual intervention, only providing feedback.
If you volunteer to participate in this study, you will be asked to attend an interview lasting 60-90 minutes held virtually on Microsoft Teams, where we will discuss the proposed online intervention and present some materials to provide an initial discussion. This part of the interview will be audio-recorded so that we can summarize your thoughts and opinions for improving the intervention.
This study is looking for participants that match the following criteria:
• Age 18 years old and up
• Reside in Ontario.
• Fluent in English
• Experience participating in psychotherapy and/or online psychotherapy tools/programs.
• Able to provide autonomous informed consent
• Willing to participate in an interview lasting 60-90 minutes, to share opinions on a proposed intervention.
