The first Impact Report from the WE-Spark Health Institute showcases the unique strengths its partner institutions — the University of Windsor, Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare, St. Clair College, and Windsor Regional Hospital — bring to advancing health research and demonstrates the power of collaboration, says executive director Lisa Porter.
“We are building on these strengths and integrating expertise, infrastructure and capacity for a vibrant, healthy and resilient community,” Dr. Porter says. “We have far exceeded our first year’s goals. It is remarkable what we have been to achieve together, and this is just the beginning.”
Highlights of the report, entitled Uniting Strengths, include:
“We are thrilled at how WE-Spark is evolving and growing,” says UWindsor president Robert Gordon. “The University of Windsor looks forward to continued collaborations that will no doubt provide more training opportunities, research outcomes, and health benefits for our community.”
