The impact of COVID-19 on Indigenous peoples, families, and communities has varied across Canada. Some key themes were provided in the Public Health Agency of Canada’s What We Heard: Indigenous Peoples and COVID-19 report, which was released in February 2021 and will be discussed in our next speaker series.
Dr. Angela Mashford-Pringle is an Algonquin Assistant Professor and the Associate Director of the Waakebiness-Bryce Institute for Indigenous Health, Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. She was also the lead on the PHAC What We Heard: Indigenous Peoples and COVID-19 report.
