The purpose of this research is to use a portable, multi-camera system to record youth ice hockey games throughout the 2022-2023 hockey season. From the video recordings, important measures related to head impacts that occur during play (from checking, collisions, falls, etc.) will be described and quantified, including:
1. Impact type, impact frequency, impact location
2. Player anticipation prior to impact events involving checking
3. Three-dimensional player head velocities and impact severities
